Steps to Donating
Reception
A friendly member of our staff will greet you and ask you to provide a valid photo I.D., proof of your current address and your Social Security or immigration card.
Screening
You’ll receive a health screening each time you donate to ensure you are in general good health and that you meet the donation criteria. You’ll be asked about your medical history and about any current medications. We’ll also check your blood pressure, temperature, red blood cell count and protein levels.
Physical Exam
If you are a new plasma donor, you will receive a physical exam before your first donation. As a regular donor, you will receive a physical exam annually.
Donation
A trained technician will escort you to a donation bed to begin the plasma collection process. A specialized medical device will separate your plasma from your other blood components through a safe, automated process called plasmapheresis. You’ll be monitored throughout the process to ensure your comfort.
Reward
To thank you for donating your plasma, you’ll be compensated for your time spent with us. Rates vary, but on average, a loyal plasma donor can earn up to $200 in cash each month providing the source material used to make life-saving therapies.
