Donor Story: Maria

“My son has a rare blood disorder called hemophilia. Although he isn't treated with a plasma-derived therapy, many with hemophilia rely on medicine made from plasma. I donate my plasma for them and for their mothers. I want to be able to tell these mothers that their children can live normal lives. They can play football, run track and enjoy recess just like every other kid — they don’t have to sit on the sidelines because of hemophilia. Donating my plasma for the past 25 years is one small way I give back to the hemophilia community at-large.”
